| Visitors are welcome at no cost by appointment. When folks visit, we answer questions and talk about elk, what they eat, their behavior patterns and other fun facts. We have a "color page" we give to all children who visit. We also have informational brochures and pens for our guests. Feel free to copy and paste the two graphics at either side of this text into a Microsoft Word document and print for young people you know to color and enjoy! |

| The cow to the right and below right is the same elk as in the above photo of the calf with the Punkin, the cat. Her name is Syringa, Surry for short, after the Idaho State Flower. She was our first born calf upon starting in the business of elk ranching. Her mother couldn't deliver her without assistance and so she was bottle raised. This is why she allows us up close. She is one of two elk that are life-long pets of ours. Her calf is accustomed to our presence, and this is how we got these photos. The bull in front in the left photo is the smaller bull in the photo at the top of the page, taken when he was 2. He is now 4 years old. The bulls behind him at the left are 3 and 2 years old respectively. The antler growth will be complete by the end of August. |
